Jasjit Singh Gill (born 3 December 1970), popularly known as Jimmy Shergill (Punjabi: is an Indian actor.
Shergill was born in a Jatt Sikh family in Gorakhpur, India and studied there till 5th Grade. Then, his family shifted to Patiala (Punjab). He studied in Punjab Public School(PPS), Nabha, and completed his graduation from Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala.He started his career with Maachis, a movie based on terrorism in North India. The film was critically acclaimed and did reasonably well at the box office. Jimmy has since worked in many films but only few have been successful. He starred in My Name is Khan alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.
